Styled Shoot in September

September is heaven at Drumore Estate.  Of course, we think that every season is heaven here, but it’s undeniable that there is something special about the end of summer in Lancaster County.  Our wedding venue is lucky to offer endless views, gorgeous sunsets, and this amazing golden light that spills across the river hills and through the trees before dusk.  This past September a team of wedding vendors took advantage of that natural beauty here at Drumore Estate to showcase their creative talents.  Please enjoy the pretty, pretty results of this collaboration (and a special guest model at the end of the post!)

Hair & Make-up

Andrea (Shades of Blush Studio) and Whitney (WB Upstyles) made the beautiful Kelsey picture-perfect.  We really love having both of these artists come to Drumore Estate to make our brides beautiful on their wedding day!  As pictured, the Bridal Suite was moved downstairs this fall into a spacious apartment adjacent to the mansion.  The new space has great natural light for hair and make-up on-site, and two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, balcony, and your very own kitchen (for making the perfect mimosa, of course).

Styling

POSH Bridal, Brent L. Miller Jewelers, Lancaster Flower Co. and On A Lark Rentals provided the styling for the shoot in our Orangery event space and the estate gardens, as captured by Meagan Nicole Photography.

The Mansion

Kelsey is modeling a POSH Bridal wedding dress in our vintage Orangery room.  This one-of-a-kind event space was built in the 1960’s for the indoor pool at the mansion, adjacent to our main bar.  It has been converted it into an elegant indoor space for ceremonies, cocktail hour, dinner receptions, and this is an amazing space for your wedding reception dance party.

This antique chair was provided by On A Lark Inspired Events & Vintage Rentals, and it is the perfect color to compliment the yellow walls & green shutters of the mansion’s back porch.  Simple touches like adding vintage furniture to your sweetheart table can transform the look of your wedding reception and make your decor uniquely “you.”  This pose really shows off the floral lace detailing of the wedding dress, and the clean, glamorous lines of the jewelry.

I love the details of the lace against the backdrop of the mansion’s white wrought iron in the Rose Garden.  The ironwork was designed & copyrighted solely for Drumore Estate.

The Romance & Rose Gardens are a beautiful area for cocktail hour, and the grass will become a brick patio in time for our 2018 events.  We are so excited about this new outdoor reception space!

The Formal Gardens

Kelsey is posing at the lovely entrance to our formal gardens, where the groom will catch his first glimpse of the bride as she prepares to walk down the aisle on their wedding day.

The formal gardens create the perfect aisle for our brides, and Meagan Nicole Photography captured the beauty of the late afternoon light as it spills across the grounds.

The elaborate top is balanced beautifully by the full, light skirt on this wedding dress.  One of the reasons that POSH Bridal is so amazing is that they will work with you to create a custom wedding dress so that you can truly have the dress of your dreams.

Lancaster Flower Co. proves here that floral hairpiece is definitely a must for your wedding day.  It adds a pretty and fresh touch to your hairstyle, whether you prefer a more subtle look with a single bloom in your up-do or you decide to go all out with a glorious flower crown.

The Fountain Garden

Lancaster Flower Co. designed a delicate pastel bouquet for this shoot, displayed here on a vintage table by On A Lark.  The variety of textures in this bouquet are phenomenal, and the pink Protea focal point along with the dusty blue ribbon keeps the bouquet balanced with just the right amounts of whimsy and drama.

One of our beautiful ceremony sites at Drumore Estate.

Built in 1938, the mansion & grounds feature beautiful old stone walls, brickwork, ironwork, and fountains.  The iron entrance gates open to welcome your guests to the ceremony as they arrive at Drumore Estate.  The Fountain Gardens are a fantastic first impression of your wedding day for your guests, and are a lovely spot for a welcome drink to set the mood for your event as your loved ones anticipate your walk down the aisle.

Of course the sweet and lovely Monia had to make an appearance.  Drumore Estate is a private residence, home to the owners as well as their pets.  While the kitties & Boston Terriers do not need to be invited to your wedding, they are always available if you would like them to liven up the festivities!

Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors who created this beautiful afternoon filled with wedding inspiration at Drumore Estate!
