What to Expect on Your Tour

Every tour is private – just you and your planner

1. Arrival & welcome

Drive down our private driveway to the mansion’s front entrance and ring the bell — one of our planners will greet you personally, offer you a drink, and get you settled before the tour begins.

2. A full walkthrough

We’ll walk you through every space, all available for exclusive use on your day: the Gardens, Patios, Tent, Ballroom, Carriage House, Formal Living Room, Library, Formal Dining Room, both bridal suites, and the Groom’s Lounge — which has its own barber shop. We’ll talk through indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception flow, and our inclement-weather backup plans.

3. Your vision & your budget

Back at the mansion, we’ll go through our venue and catering brochures together and talk specifics — your ideas, your questions, anything you’re picturing for the day. We’ll also build a quick preliminary estimate covering the venue fee and catering package, so you leave knowing whether Drumore fits your budget.

4. A storied property

Before you go, we’ll share a bit of Drumore’s past — built by Lancaster newspaper magnate John Steinman as a party house, set on the second-highest point in Lancaster County so he could see his own newspaper building from home, and once host to the Eisenhowers and the Kennedys.

The perfect place for our wedding

Drumore Estate was the perfect place for our wedding! The mansion is beautiful, the grounds are stunning, and the staff are absolutely amazing. They were there through every step of the wedding planning process with quick responses to all our questions, and they worked hard to help us tailor our wedding to our specific vision. They have numerous options around the estate for both ceremony and reception options depending on your wedding size and/or preference.

Also, their in-house catering was absolutely delicious! The beautiful grounds have so many different options for amazing photo opportunities. (Our photographer loved the venue!) Finally, I cannot stress how amazing their staff is. We had an amazing day, and it absolutely flew by, but we were able to enjoy every minute of it because the staff worked hard to take care of every detail. I cannot recommend this venue more highly!

Our hearts and minds kept going back to Drumore

Drumore was one of the first venues we visited. After visiting several others, our hearts and minds kept going back to Drumore. It just felt right.

We got married in July on a hot, summer Sunday, Drumore Estate was not only a stunning backdrop for our forever, but also, Marnie and the rest of the Drumore staff really are the dream team! They got us from start to finish with tons of support and stellar service every step of the way! It was incredible to see a list of notes come to life on our beautiful wedding day. Everything was picture perfect, on time, and just the way we imagined. No one even noticed the little issues, because Marnie and her team would ensure everything remained smooth. The staff was always incredibly excited, even when dealing with the stickier details.

Shayna is an absolute gem of a coordinator! She is sweet, intelligent, and went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I had the most magical wedding at Drumore Estate. From day one, she encouraged us to be ourselves and organized whatever our hearts desired. She answered every question, email & phone call with no hesitation and a happy spirit!

We were also so grateful to the her and the chef for creating a customized all appetizer menu! Our guests were raving about beautiful estate, awesome food and friendly staff! The set up and take down from the staff was also extremely helpful as a DIY bride. I could go on and on… THANK YOU!!! We highly recommend this stunning venue!!

The Drumore team eased our nerves and provided excellent service and support the entire way, from planning to execution.
