The Carriage House
The Carriage House was constructed with wedding couples in mind. The Carriage House is the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance. Its design allows couples to customize the space to fit their vision. There are high loft-like ceilings with rustic beams, a working fireplace, and a built-in 3-tap bar. The two large wrought-iron chandeliers can be customized with draped fabric or florals to create your desired atmosphere. Various special lighting options, including up-lights can help set the mood. The Carriage House is equipped with sound and video options for your convenience.
The Carriage House was built to compliment the lay of the property. Though it is indoors, your guests have easy access to the natural beauty of Drumore Estate all night long. Step out the front doors onto adjacent patios to enjoy the view from the second-highest peak in Lancaster County and an amazing sunset. For a change of scenery, your guests can step out the back door onto our large balcony to take in the surrounding woodlands and get a breath of fresh air.

The Carriage House can be used for ceremonies, receptions, or as a dance hall. Since it is climate-controlled, whether you are getting married in the heat of the summer or the cold of the winter months, the Carriage House provides a comfortable, year-round alternative to a tented reception. It also provides a perfect contingency if the weather doesn’t cooperate on the day of your event. Having the Grand Tent, Carriage House, and Ballroom on the property offers a multitude of optional layouts and flow, so planning is stress-free. If you plan an outdoor wedding but decide to move it indoors for any reason, there is no problem since clients have exclusive use of the entire property on their wedding day. If you plan an indoor winter wedding and the day turns out to be so gorgeous that you want to move your ceremony outdoors onto one of our patios, no problem. One of the benefits of Drumore Estate is its versatility!
The Carriage House has a maximum capacity of 150 seated guests for a reception or 350 for a ceremony. To “wow” their guests, clients with a large guest list and tent reception can rent the Carriage House for their dance party. Adjacent to large patios and a 72,000-gallon swimming pool, guests step out to enjoy the evening and can still hear the music. A firepit could be set up on the patio for guests’ warmth or for toasting marshmallows for S’mores.

Planning Your Carriage House Wedding
There are so many decisions that go into creating your dream wedding! We recognize that this can be a stressful experience for some couples. Our wedding packages include an attentive and experienced Event Planner/Wedding Facilitator. Your Facilitator is available from the first planning session through the end of the event and will help you plan every detail, including the schedule, layout, menu selection, and vendor selection. Their experience can help you make decisions about linen colors and napkin folds, décor, flowers, and details you may not have thought about.
We also provide an Event Manager for all our events with over 50 guests. The Event Manager is responsible for the event set-up/tear-down. They work with the Facilitator throughout the event to ensure it runs flawlessly and on schedule so that you and your loved ones have a stress-free and unforgettable experience.
Our Carriage House Venue Packages and Services
We have a variety of Carriage House rental packages available for your wedding. Whether you are looking to get married in the Prime Season (2nd Monday in April-2nd Monday in November) or the Off-Season (2nd Monday in November-2nd Monday in April), the Carriage House is a great venue for you to consider for your wedding reception. Catering
The Drumore Estate Experience offers professional, full-service, custom catering on-site. Our Event Facilitator works with you to design the perfect menu for your gathering. We include an experienced and courteous serving staff, china, glassware, flatware, tables, and chairs, not to mention set up and tear down.
Let us create the perfect menu for your event, suited to your theme, palate, and budget. We offer a flexible array of menu and catering options that include buffets, stations, sit-down dinners, & cocktail receptions. Dinners can be served buffet style or plated (less than 300 guests).
Our in-house catering service provides extensive menu options. Customization is our specialty. We are sensitive to lifestyle, diet, and food allergies. We offer specialty meal options for dietary restrictions. Please note prices may increase due to specialty ingredients.
Tastings are not included. However, we offer two group tastings with set menus annually for any couples that wish to attend. These tastings are held sometime in January or February with dates.

Bar Service
Drumore Estate does not have a liquor license. Simply put, we can serve alcohol but not sell it. Clients must provide their own alcohol as desired. Due to insurance, we must serve any alcohol, so we provide RAMP-certified bartenders for your event. Drumore Estate also provides mixers, ice, condiments, and glassware. For your convenience, we work with licensed vendors who can provide the alcohol for your event if you choose. They will drop off the liquor the day of the event, pick up what remains, and charge you for what was used.

Drumore Estate strives to create a memorable and stress-free day for you and your guests by being a “one-stop shop.” Everything you need for your special day is included in our packages – an Event Planner/Facilitator, Event Manager, tables, chairs, linens, china, and more. We do all the set-up and tear-down.

Carriage House
What is the maximum guest count in the Carriage House?
The maximum guest count for a reception in the Carriage House is 150 people for a seated dinner and 120-130 with a dance floor.
Is the space climate controlled?
Absolutely! On a chilly day, we turn on the heat and the fireplace, creating a cozy and warm setting for you and your guests. On a warm day, we turn on the air conditioning. On a perfect day, we can open the door and windows to let in fresh air, if desired.
Can we have a plated meal in the Carriage House?
Yes! You may choose between a plated or buffet meal in the Carriage House. The building is equipped with a catering kitchen in the basement.
Is there enough room for a dance floor?
Of course! There is plenty of room for a dance floor and DJ setup in the Carriage House to celebrate all night long.
Can we swim in the pool?
Our liability insurance does not allow for guest swimming. The Bride and Groom are subject to a fine if this rule is broken, as stated in the contract at the time of booking. However, the pool provides a gorgeous backdrop for photos and guests are more than welcome to utilize seating around the pool throughout your event!
Where is our cocktail hour if our reception is in the Carriage House?
There are options! Your cocktail hour may take place on the Romance Patio or patios surrounding the pool. You could also choose to use The Ballroom. A 3-tap built-in bar is available for the reception in the Carriage House.
