What is Your Capacity?
From mid-May to mid-October, Our Grand Tent can accommodate up to 400 guests. With additional tenting, we can accommodate celebrations of up to 400 guests. From April through November, our Carriage House can accommodate 150 guests for a seated dinner or 120-130 comfortably with a dance floor, and our Ballroom holds up to 80 guests. Please contact us for more details about an event in the off-season.
Should I Hire an Event Planner?
When you hold an event at Drumore Estate, we provide you with our own in-house Event Facilitator who will help design, plan, and implement your dream event. Our Event Facilitator will be available to help you every step of the way leading up to your big day, and we offer an in-depth planning session where we sit down and go over all of the details to kick off the process.
In addition to event planning and design expertise, we provide vendor recommendations to assure that your event is to your specifications and is a seamless process from start to finish. Our Event Facilitator will be present for the entirety of your wedding day to take care of all of the details for you.
If you have already hired a wedding planner, we are happy to work with and assist them in realizing the perfect event for you.
How Long is My Event?
You have exclusive use of the property for up to 12 hours for Prime Season on the day of your wedding and 10 Hours of exclusive use for off-season.
2 hours for your engagement pictures, as well as a complimentary 1-hour rehearsal.
What Happens If It Rains?
Most of our couples choose to get married in our formal garden that provides a stunning view of the Susquehanna River valley. In the event of rain, your ceremony may be held in our Grand Tent, our Carriage House, or our Ballroom. We have three elegant “what if” options no matter what the weather conditions are on your wedding day.
Will I Need Other Vendors?
Included in our planning services are our suggestions of the highest quality vendors for any service that you require – florists, photographers, officiants, cakes & confectioners, transportation, etc. We are here to help guide you through all these important decisions.
Are there additional fees?
We offer several custom options that you may choose for an additional charge (e.g. outside heaters, festoon lighting, golf cart rental, photo booth, Chiavari chairs, etc.)
What about parking?
Drumore Estate provides parking attendants that direct guests to designated parking areas as they arrive. Cars may be left overnight as needed. We provide special rates with transport companies if you prefer to bus your guests to and from town.
How Do I Reserve My Date?
To reserve your date at Drumore Estate, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of your total invoice (up to $6,000) is required at the time of contract signing. For example:
If your total invoice is $10,000, your deposit will be $5,000.
If your total invoice is $12,000 or more, your deposit will be capped at $6,000.
The second payment (50% of the remaining balance) is due 4 months before your event, and the final payment is due 4 weeks prior to your event date.
Will There Be Other Events On My Day?
You have exclusive use of the property on your wedding day. We do not schedule any other events the day of your wedding.
Can I Have Music?
We host a limited number of outdoor music events per year (due to local noise ordinances). Contact us as soon as possible to book these. We can easily accommodate your DJs and bands inside our climate-controlled Ballroom and Carriage House. Many of our couples choose to have dinner outside, then move inside for music & dancing.
Where Can We Get Ready?
Inside our 16,000 square foot Georgian mansion. On the day of your event, you and your bridal party have access to our exquisite, fully-furnished bridal suite & groom’s lounge with attached ensuites.
Is Alcohol Allowed?
Drumore Estate does not have a liquor license. Simply put, we can serve alcohol but not sell it. Clients must provide their own alcohol as desired.
Due to insurance, we are required to serve all alcohol. We staff all the bartenders for your event. Our bartenders are RAMP certified. Drumore Estate also provides the mixers, ice, condiments, and glassware, For your convenience, we work with licensed vendors who can provide the alcohol for your event if you choose.
They will drop off the liquor the day of the event, pick up what remains, and charge you for what was used.
When can we start setup?
The majority of venue setup is included, except for arranging flowers, special linen installs, or drape fabric. On the day of your wedding, you will have access to the venue to start setup at 9 a.m. We also allow you to drop off items up to a few days before your event. After your event, you may arrange to have a family member pick up your items the next morning if you do not want to take everything with you that night.
When is my rehearsal time?
Your complementary one-hour rehearsal time will be scheduled as close to your wedding day as possible. The day and time are based upon our availability. Please be aware that your rehearsal might not be the day before your wedding.
Drumore Estate strives to create a memorable and stress-free day for you and your guests by being a “one-stop shop.” Everything you need for your special day is included in our packages – an Event Planner/Facilitator, Event Manager, tables, chairs, linens, china, and more. We do all the set-up and tear-down.
If you want to “go above and beyond” to make your wedding even more special, we offer a variety of customized lighting and decor options for your convenience.
