Drumore Estate Honored
as Part of Lafayette200 Bicentennial Celebration
We are thrilled to share that Drumore Estate has received the Lafayette200 Bicentennial Award in recognition of our participation in the national celebration honoring Marquis de Lafayette’s Farewell Tour of America, which took place from July 1825 to July 1826.
As part of this historic commemoration, Drumore Estate joins a network of over 500 sites across the 24 states Lafayette visited during his farewell journey. We’re proud to stand among such distinguished landmarks and to help bring this moment in history to life for our community.
Event Details
The bicentennial festivities will take place July 27–29, 2025, across Lancaster County and western Chester County. Events will include reenactments, historical tours, musical performances, and educational programs highlighting Lafayette’s impact and legacy.
Additionally, from January to June 2025, Lafayette200 is hosting a virtual speaker series called Marquis Mondays, featuring acclaimed authors and historians. You can join these online events from the comfort of your home and immerse yourself in the story of one of America’s most cherished Revolutionary War heroes.
We invite you to save the dates and celebrate with us as we honor Lafayette’s legacy and embrace the beauty and history of Drumore Estate.
