Questions To Ask When Touring A Wedding Venue

Video Transcript:

I go on a lot of tours here at Drumore, and we’ve been asked a ton of different questions; we’re going to share with you some of the ones that we think are really important that you should ask during your tours when you’re either touring with us or other places.

One of the big questions is, do you have a rain backup plan? Is it a solid plan, and how long in advance do you have to make a decision about that? Is it 24 to 48 hours prior? Here at Drumore Estate, we’ll make that decision on the day of your wedding.

One of the other questions that we think is really important is, what’s included with the pricing? So you may think that everything’s included in the price, but then you find out that you need to rent the chairs, tables, linens, find a facilitator, and other things like that. Here at Drumore, we include all of that with our pricing, so you don’t have to do anything above and beyond unless you really want to. Those things would be additional things like chandeliers, lighting packages, and draping, but we include so much that we want to make your day stress-free.

Another big question, and a very important one, is, do you get a planner facilitator with your wedding package at other venues? Here at Drumore, we do include a planner facilitator. What’s great about a planner is we will pair you with a planner, and they will start the planning process with you. You get four to six hours of event and menu planning here, and then that person will also be your day-of coordinator. Your day coordinator will keep you on schedule. They will check on you and make sure you’re doing okay. It’s stress-free. They’re also an excellent liaison between the vendors and the venue, and we always bring life to the party.

It’s true, she does. The final question that we think is really important for you to ask is, how much time is included in your wedding rental? Whether that’s your full rental or also your party allowment. We have a 12-hour rental here at Drumore from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. You can add time to the front half of your rental, but we do have a hard cutoff at 11:00 p.m. You can also ask during your tour how long your party actually is. Here at Drumore, we have a variety of options.

We recently changed our packaging so you can have a four, five, or six-hour party for your reception. So those are the questions that we think are really important for you to ask during tours, when you’re out and about, or whether you’re here with us, and we’ll be happy to share the information with you.
